So, I’ve been living in this 2017 Ford Transit Custom for the past year and honestly, it’s been a proper lifestyle shift. It’s a 2.0 TDCi diesel with 105ps, low roof, and fully converted into a campervan – no fluff, just solid setup.

It’s a 290 Trend model, so it’s got the right mix of practicality and space. I’ve had it through a full conversion by Adventure Campers – brand new, properly insulated, and fully lined. The 2-berth setup includes a Scotseat seat bed that matches the front seat fabric, which is a nice touch.

Fitted extras: sliding window behind the cooker (driver’s side), a Smev 9222 left-hand sink with 2-burner hob, a 12V fridge with flush surround, a Starling B2B split charger and 100Ah leisure battery, 12V control panel for fridge, lights, and USB charging, gas locker with regulator and camping gas setup, and a 3kW diesel heater. There’s also blackout curtains – you can’t go wrong with those in a van.

I’ve had it through a full service history, including a wet belt change at 70k miles. Mileage is 79,500 – not bad at all, and the MOT is still valid with no advisories. The car’s been properly looked after, with 2 keys and full independent inspection done.

It’s ULEZ compliant, so no issues in London or anywhere else with that policy. I’ve had it in a few different places over the years, including markyate, Dacorum, where I’ve been living since the start of the year.
