This one’s a real standout – a Royal Doulton large character jug from 1990, model D6863, designed by Stanley J. Taylor. It’s the ringmaster from a circus, painted with bright, bold colours and a shiny finish that really pops. I found it in a box of old Toby jugs and kept it for years, just because it had such a fun vibe. It’s about 7 inches tall, no chips or cracks at all, and the paint is still vibrant. The glaze is spotless, no fading or wear. It’s not just a jug – it’s a proper piece of the Royal Doulton collection, and it’s been sitting in my kitchen for ages, looking great on the shelf. I’m moving out of Axbridge, Somerset, and thought it’d be nice to part with it.
