1967 UNCIRCULATED HALF CROWNS AND OLD COPPER COINS
Description
So I’ve got a small collection of vintage coins from 1967 — 24 half crowns, 49 sixpences, 49 threepenny bits, 50 pennies, and 50 halfpennies. All of them are uncirculated, which means they’ve never been used — I double-checked the tubes and found three were missing, so I’ve adjusted the count. The numbers I listed are accurate.I got these from my late uncle, who was a real coin collector back in the day. He kept them tucked away for years, and I only recently found them. I’ve been thinking — 1967 might have been the last year these coins were minted, which makes it kind of special.
The copper coins are pretty much 98.5% copper, if memory serves. Not a flashy collection, just a genuine bit of history from a family member.
It’s sitting in a drawer at my place in Countesthorpe, Blaby. Price is £162 — not too bad for such a small, old batch. If you’re into vintage coins or just curious, I’d be happy to share more. No fancy fluff, just real stuff. Let me know if you’re interested.
