2020 Peugeot 5008 Active 1.2 PureTech SUV
Description
So, I’ve had this 2020 Peugeot 5008 Active for a couple of years now, and honestly, it’s been one of the most reliable and practical cars I’ve owned. It’s got just 29,000 miles on it — not a lot for its age — and I’ve kept it well maintained. It’s a petrol manual with a 1.2L engine, Euro 6 compliant, and it runs smooth. The Active trim gives you plenty of space — seven seats, which is perfect if you’ve got kids or just like having room to stretch out. I’ve used it for both daily commutes and weekend trips, and it’s never let me down.
Inside, there’s a head-up display with blue ambient lighting, which is a nice touch, and Bluetooth so I can keep my phone connected without fumbling around. I also love the rear parking sensors — makes parking a lot easier, especially in tight spots. The Mirror Screen lets me use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which I’ve used quite a bit.
The 18-inch Detroit diamond cut alloy wheels in Cumulus grey look good, and the interior is comfy with Meco cloth seats. There’s a decent amount of storage, climate control, and even heated rear windscreen with antenna. The safety features are solid — anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, airbags all around, and even a driver attention alert.
Fuel economy is around 46 mpg, which is pretty good for this size of car — means lower running costs. It’s also in a low insurance group, so that’s a bonus if you’re worried about premiums.
I’ve had it for a while now and it’s been very solid. I’m not selling it because I need to, just because I’ve found a new car I’m actually excited about — but I’ve got it in ballynahinch, Newry, and it’s ready to go.
I’ve got a 3-year warranty on it, so if anything comes up, I’m happy to sort it out. I’m also open to part exchanges and accept all major cards. If you’re looking for a practical, well-maintained SUV with good value and low running costs, this one might just work for you.
