So, I’ve been running a small car hire business out of Atherstone, North Warwickshire, and I’ve got a solid fleet of EVs and hybrids on hand — mostly for people who want something reliable, low-emission, and ready to go.

I’ve got Teslas — the Model 3s (both long and standard range), and the Model X 7-seater — all with good range and no ULEZ or congestion charge issues. The Model S is there too, if you’re after something more premium.

Then there’s the BMWs — the 530e and 330e models, both plug-in hybrids, with different trims. The 745Le is a bit of a luxury piece, but if you’re into executive style, it’s worth a look. Mercedes too — the EQE and EQS are fully electric, and the EQV is a 7-seater MPV, perfect for families or group trips. The EQS has a 450-mile range, which is solid.

I’ve also got some affordable options — like the MG5 EVs, which are great for short commutes, and the Hyundai Ioniq and Kia Niro hybrids. These are good if you’re not looking to go full electric yet but still want to cut emissions.

One thing I really like is the EV assistance — you can get up to £75 off your weekly rate for 40 weeks. That’s a real saving, especially if you’re planning to rent for a few months.

I’m also running a rent-to-buy option on some of the plug-in hybrids — like the BMW 530e 74 plate — so if you’re thinking of getting into a car long-term, that’s a route you can take.
