Description
These old Midland Red motorway coach models I picked up in Abergavenny back in 1985 — they’re 1:76 scale, made by Morestone (Budgie), and were originally painted to look like a South Wales operator, kind of like SELNEC. Both are fully mobile, so they’ve got some life in them still. I’ve been thinking about restoring one or giving it a fresh coat of paint — either way, they’d be fun to work on. The building in the background is just there for photos, not part of the model. I’ve got them for £10.80 each or £20 for both — postage’s £3.69 if you go with one or both. Alternatively, I can hand them over at Old Hall in Castlederg, Derry and Strabane District, which is about a 20-minute drive from the main road.
