This old bureau is from the 1930s and has been my main desk for the past two years — I’ve used it every day, and it’s actually still holding up pretty well. It’s not perfect — there’s some wear, especially on the handles, and the lid feels a bit stiff. The writing on the handles isn’t anything I added, it’s the original maker’s handwriting. I’m getting rid of it because I’ve got a new piece for my partner now. It’s heavy, so if you’re thinking about picking it up, you’ll need at least two people to move it safely.
