Description

This bike’s been with me for years – through trails, muddy rides, and everything in between – and I’m finally letting it go. It’s a Specialized Stumpjumper 17 medium, 650B, Heritage colour (acid mint, kiwi, pink), and honestly, it’s one of the most solid setups I’ve ever ridden.

The frame is FACT 9m carbon with a M5 aluminum rear end – it’s light, stiff, and feels smooth even on rough trails. I’ve never had a single chain drop on it, thanks to the unitary configuration. The FOX 34 fork has 150mm of travel and handles everything from rocky descents to root-filled climbs with ease.

It’s got a SRAM Eagle GX 12-speed drivetrain with a Truvativ Descendant crank – super smooth shifting, especially on long climbs. The rear shock is a RockShox Monarch RT3 with autosag and 3-position settings, and the front fork is the FOX 34 Performance, 44mm offset, great for trail control.

All the internals are sealed – no exposed cables, just clean, tidy routing. The wheels are Roval Traverse carbon, 27.5, hookless, tubeless-ready, and the hubs are Specialized with sealed bearings. Tires are Butcher GRID with Gripton compound – good grip and a bit of bounce.

I’ve kept it in immaculate condition, no dents, no rust, just well-loved and well-maintained. The seatpost has that cool alien head design and is fully adjustable. Everything from stems to handlebars is Specialized – the bars are S-Works carbon, the grips are Ergon GA2, and the saddle is Ergon SM Pro, in a midsummer blue.

Pedals are Oneup-components, lightweight and easy to clip in. I’ve never had a brake issue – both front and rear are SRAM Guide R with hydraulic discs and 4-piston calipers.

I’ve ridden it all over – from the hills near Chester to long weekend rides in the countryside – and it’s been reliable and fun. It’s not flashy, but it’s actually a top-tier trail bike for what it does.

I’m moving house and just can’t keep it anymore. It’s worth about £1,080, but I’m selling it with a bit of a smile because it’s been such a good companion.

If you’re into trail riding and want a bike that just works, this one’s a solid choice. No fancy claims, just honest, hands-on experience.
