Light Fixture for Fish Tank
Description
I’ve got this old aquarium light fixture lying around and decided to part with it. It’s a freebie — no strings, just take it and go. The base is clean and solid, no frayed wires or loose bits, just needs a fluorescent starter and a tube to get it going. I don’t have a tube to test it with, so I’m not 100% sure it works, but it’s not broken — just needs a bit of setup. It’s not a fancy LED setup like some of the newer ones, but it’s been in a fish tank before and works okay. The light spectrum isn’t super precise, and I’m not sure how well it supports plants or fish, but it’ll do the job if you’re just going for basic lighting.
I found this from a Google image search — not specific to my unit, so don’t take it as a full guide. Just giving it away for free. No questions? No problem — happy to chat about it if you’re curious.
Only collecting from Fort Augustus, Highland. Just show up and take it — no hassle, no charge. I’m not sure if it’ll work perfectly, but it’s not a dead end. If it doesn’t light up, that’s fine — you can always use it as a spare or just keep it as a curiosity.
P.S. It’s £9 — but I’m not asking for anything, just giving it away. You can have it for free if you want to try it out.
