Description

This old Hillstonia planter came from the Moira pottery range, started back in 1922. It's shaped like a tree stump with some nice bark details — kind of rustic and charming. I’ve used it for forcing bulbs, but I’ve also kept it for small cacti, posy vases, or even pot pourri. It’s about 20 cm long and 8 cm high.

I found it at a shop off the A420 in Whiston, Knowsley, and I’m passing it on as part of a local white elephant fundraiser. All the money goes to our village church. It’s not super valuable, but it’s a fun piece with a bit of history. I’ve got a few other things I’ve been given to share — if you’re into quirky finds, I might have something you’ll like. The big sale happens at our village fete on September 7th, so keep an eye out if you're around.
