Got this little Fiat 500 in Delabole, Cornwall, and it’s been a real joy to drive. It’s a 2013 model, 119k miles — not much at all for a car that’s been around this long. The engine’s been running smoothly, no big issues, and it’s got a clean HPI report. I’ve had it through a full year MOT, and it’s free to get the second year MOT when it comes due.

It’s the S trim, so there’s a lot of nice bits: S model seats, bumpers, rear lights, alloy wheels, and that thick leather flat-bottomed steering wheel. The steering wheel is multifunction too — I use it a lot for navigation and phone calls. Has start/stop tech, USB port, aux input, Bluetooth with voice control, rear head restraints, and ISOFIX points. All the usual bits you’d want in a first car.

Fuel economy’s great — around 55mpg, which means it’s one of the cheapest cars to run, insure, and maintain. Insurance’s group 9, which is super low — really easy to get quotes and keep costs down. Road tax is just £35, and I’ve kept it on the low side with minimal servicing.
