So, I’ve got this Ford Mondeo I picked up at an auction a few weeks ago — no keys originally, but I got a replacement, so that’s sorted. It’s a solid automatic, and I’ve been using it for about three weeks now. Honestly, it’s not really what I need for my everyday city life, so I’m parting with it.

I’ve only had it for a short time, and it’s been in three previous hands. It was a repossessed car, but I’ve done a bit of work on it since — new front tyres, gearbox oil change, and fresh brake pads. It drives well, no major issues, and the interior’s actually pretty nice: partial leather, heated front seats, electric driver’s seat. There’s a bit of wear on the driver’s seat — a few small tears — I’ll try to fix that before I hand it over.

It’s dark burgundy, and the interior feels clean and well-maintained. The aircon used to work, but I refilled it recently — it’s now struggling a bit, might have a leak. Cruise control works most of the time, but it’ll randomly stop. And yeah, the MOT gave a bit of a nudge on the steering — I can hear a faint noise when turning slowly, but nothing too bad.

I’m only offering it for collection in about two weeks, and I’ll meet people in the local town — no home address until we’ve met and ID’s been checked. I’m not a dealer, so it’s just as it is — tested, driven, seen.

Now, I know how some people play games on Gumtree — I’ve seen it all. No shady offers, no “I’ll take it for X” without seeing it first. I’ll only show it to one person at a time, and I won’t give out my address until we’ve met.
