2025 MG HS 1.5 T-GDI Trophy 5-door hatchback
Description
So I’ve got this 2025 MG HS Trophy – the one with the 1.5 T-GDI engine, five doors, and the DCT gearbox. It’s not just a regular hatchback, it’s got a bunch of smart tech stuff that actually feels useful. The 12.3-inch touchscreen is sharp, and there’s a virtual driver info display too – not just for looks, it actually helps you keep an eye on things like speed, fuel, and tire pressure. You can connect it to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which I’ve used loads, and there’s wireless charging – handy when you’re on the go.
It’s got a 360-degree camera, parking sensors all round, and blind spot detection. The lane keep assist and lane departure warning are actually pretty good, especially when you’re driving on long stretches. I’ve had a few near-misses with cars in blind spots, and that feature saved me a few times.
Inside, the seats are really comfy – heated front seats with three stages, and the passenger seat’s got 4-way adjustment. The second row has a 60/40 fold-down bench, which means I can fit a couple of kids or a load of gear without losing space. There’s also a storage area in the front armrest, and the rear headrests are solid.
The car’s got a lot of smart safety features – like adaptive cruise, traffic jam assist, and emergency call service. The airbags are all there, including side curtain airbags, and it has ABS, ESP, and a pedestrian detection system. The alloy wheels are 19-inch blade ones, diamond cut – they look sharp, and the roof rails are silver, which I like.
I’ve also got a full set of USB ports – two in the front, two in the back – and a DAB radio. The lights are smart too: LED headlights, daytime running lights, automatic dimming rear view mirror, and rain-sensing wipers. The rear privacy glass is a nice touch if you’re sharing the car with someone.
It’s been well looked after, no major damage, and I’ve done regular servicing. The price is £22,095 – not cheap, but it’s a solid mid-size hatch with a lot of features for the price.
I’m based in Bentley, Babergh, so if you’re local, I can give you a quick look or even meet up. I’ve been driving this for a few months now and honestly, it’s one of the most practical and tech-packed cars I’ve owned.
If you’re thinking of a car that’s got good tech, decent space, and doesn’t feel like it’s just a gadget, this one might be worth a look.
