So, I’ve got this 2016 Kia Picanto SR7 hatchback – it’s a bit of a no-frills, practical little car that’s been running smoothly for a few years now. I picked it up when it was still new, and it’s been well looked after since.

It’s a 1.0L petrol engine, Euro 6 compliant, manual transmission – not flashy, but gets around quite nicely. The fuel economy is actually pretty good for its size, hitting up to 63mpg, which is way better than most cars in this class. And with low CO2 emissions, it’s not a heavy hitter on the environment or the fuel tank.

Inside, it’s clean and comfy – air conditioning works well, front electric windows (driver’s auto up/down is a nice touch), and automatic headlights so you don’t have to fumble with them when it gets dark. I’ve had it through a few minor services, and it has a full MOT valid until April 2026. There’s a 6-month warranty on it, which I’m happy to offer in case anything comes up. It’s not the flashiest car, but it’s reliable, economical, and easy to drive. Insurance is low, so running costs are reasonable. I’ve kept it simple – no big upgrades, just solid basics.
