My 2011 Astra hatchback has been a solid daily driver for years – it’s not flashy by any means, hasn’t won any awards or been featured in car shows, but it actually works really well under the hood. The engine’s been reliable, it drives smoothly, and I’ve had a full MOT until January 2026. The bodywork’s not great – a bit of dents and scratches, especially on the sides – but the interior’s been kept fairly clean and the mechanics are solid.
