Description
I’ve had this EHX Soul Food overdrive for a few years now and it’s been a solid go-to in my setup. It’s got that classic Klon-like feel — smooth, responsive, and doesn’t muddy your tone, which is exactly what I was looking for. The pedal’s in great shape, no velcro or tape on the bottom, and comes with the original box, power supply, instructions, and all the paperwork.It’s not flashy, but it does what it’s supposed to — clean boost with a nice headroom, works well with everything from clean tones to slightly overdriven sounds. The switch between true bypass and buffered bypass is handy too. I’ve used it in different setups and it’s never let me down.
I picked it up a while back when it was on a sale, and it’s honestly one of the better overdrives I’ve owned. It’s been stored well and hasn’t seen much use, so it’s still in excellent condition.
