2019 Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 Energy 5-door hatchback
Description
I’ve had this Vauxhall Corsa since 2019 and honestly, it’s been one of the most reliable little cars I’ve ever owned. It’s a 1.4-litre petrol manual, so not flashy, but it gets the job done—perfect for commuting, weekend trips, or just getting around town without too much fuss. The engine’s not loud or flashy, but it pulls smoothly, especially in traffic. It hits 62 mph in about 12 seconds and doesn’t overheat or strain under normal conditions. On the open road, it’s got a solid 61 mpg, and in town it’s averaging around 40—so it’s not a gas guzzler, which I appreciate.
Inside, it’s roomy for five people, with decent seating and good ergonomics. The boot’s 285 litres, which expands when you fold the back seats—great for groceries, camping gear, or a weekend getaway. The seats are cloth, not too stiff, and the heated front seats are a nice touch in colder months.
It’s got a good mix of features: alloy wheels, air conditioning, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electronic stability control, and a decent audio system with cruise control and power steering. The cabin feels clean and practical, and the steering is tight and responsive—great for city driving.
I’ve kept it well maintained, and it’s still running fine. The tyres are low rolling resistance, and it has all the safety stuff: ABS, airbags, ESP, and a start/stop system. There’s even a demist vent on the side windows, which is a small but useful thing.
It’s not flashy or high-end, but it’s solid, easy to drive, and actually feels like it’s built for real life. I’ve used it for years in arthog, Gwynedd, and it’s been dependable through all sorts of weather and road conditions.
Price is £8,253.90—fair for what it is, especially with how reliable it’s been. I’m not selling it because I need to, just because I’ve moved on and want to share it with someone who might actually find it useful.
If you're looking for a no-frills, practical hatchback that’s easy to maintain and doesn’t cost a fortune to run, this one’s worth a look.
