Chapman ML1 Pro X Metallic Black

I’ve had this Chapman ML1 Pro X for a few years now and honestly, it’s one of those guitars that just keeps getting better with use. It’s in gloss metallic black, so it’s not flashy but definitely stands out — looks good on a shelf or in a corner, doesn’t need much stage lighting to feel cool.

The body’s mahogany with a carved flame maple top — solid feel, great for holding a tone. The neck is roasted maple with a satin finish, and the fingerboard’s Macassar ebony with those nice rolled edges, which makes it smooth to play even after hours of use. 22 jumbo stainless steel frets, 25.5" scale, and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut — I’ve never had a guitar feel this responsive.

I’ve got Seymour Duncan Classic Stack StratPlus in the neck and middle, and a 59 Custom Trembucker in the neck — it’s a bit of a mix of classic and modern, and honestly, it covers everything from clean, crisp tones to thick, saturated gain without any muddiness. The Wilkinson 2-point tremolo works well, and the Hipshot grip-lock tuners are solid — no slipping, even when I’m playing fast.

It’s got those little luminlay side dots, which I like because they’re subtle but help you find the right spot when you’re tuning up. I’ve played it in studios, live, and just sitting around with a record on repeat — it’s one of those guitars that just fits in with what I’m doing.

It’s from broughton-chester, Chester Road, and I’m not looking to sell it for a huge sum — just passing it along. I’ve had it for a while, used it a lot, and it still sounds great. If you’re into progressive or studio work, or just want a guitar that doesn’t scream but still delivers, this one’s worth a look.

It’s been well-maintained, and I’ve kept it clean and stored properly. It’s not perfect — no dings, but a few light scuffs from years of use. Still plays like a dream.
