2 x Victorian chests + Victorian mahogany toilet mirror

So, I’ve been holding onto these for years — two Victorian chests and a really nice mahogany toilet mirror — and finally decided to part with them. They were in a storage unit in Matson, Gloucester, and honestly, the place was getting a bit too warm and full of dust.

The first chest is a solid Victorian mahogany piece with a heavy marble top, glass knobs, and stands on bun feet. The ends have splits, which I’ve always known about — probably from the old central heating setup. It’s about 45 inches wide, and it’s not exactly flawless, but it’s solid and has a real character.

The other one’s a sideboard that used to have a marble top, but that got damaged over time. The current top needs a bit of darkening to match the wood, and again, it’s right next to radiators — so it’s not the most ideal spot. Same 45-inch width, same splits at the ends.

The mirror is the real star — a Victorian mahogany swing mirror with a marble serpentine base. It’s not perfect — there’s a little foxing on the glass from age — but it’s such a beautiful piece, especially compared to the usual ones you see. I just can’t keep it around anymore.

It’s a bit of a mess, and I’ve had it stored for ages. Price is £225, but I’m not selling it for that — it’s just what it is. If you’re interested, I’ll chat. Otherwise, it’s going to be packed up and moved soon.
