Kiduku XL wooden playpen - foldable
Description
I’ve had this Kiduku XL playpen for a few years now and it’s honestly been a lifesaver for my kids. It’s made from solid pine, no treated wood – just natural, sturdy wood that’s been sanded smooth so there’s no sharp edges. I’ve used it with two different kids, one of whom grew quite tall and still fits perfectly. It’s about 70cm tall (a bit taller than average playpens), so it works for older toddlers and even little ones who need a bit more space. The door is 50cm wide, and you can lock it with two safety latches – useful when you want to keep them contained but still let them get in and out easily. The anti-slip pads mean it doesn’t budge when you’re doing things around the house.
What I love most is that it locks into shape. There’s a little pressure mechanism at the ends of each panel – once you set it up, it’s super stable. I’ve had a strong little one try to pull it around, and it just won’t budge. The frame’s about 1.5cm thick, and the bars are spaced 6.5cm apart – feels solid and heavy, like it’s built to last.
It comes mostly pre-assembled – just needs a screwdriver to connect the first and last pieces. Once you get it set, it’s easy to fold up. When folded, it’s down to 90x70x20.5cm – fits neatly in a corner or even in a car boot.
I bought it new for £140, but it’s been used gently and is still in great shape. I’m moving to Beccles, East Suffolk soon and just thought I’d pass it on. It’s not a flashy piece, but it’s been a real help in the home. If you’ve got a baby or toddler, or even just want a safe, natural space, it’s worth a look.
Price is £67.50 – I’ll keep it at that since it’s been a real workhorse for me.
