Canon Powershot A80 Digital Camera

Description

I’ve got this old Canon Powershot A80 lying around – still works in some ways, but not quite as it should. It’s a 4.0 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom and a fold-out LCD screen that’s actually usable. The screen works fine, and the flash fires when you press it – I’ve tested that.

The real issue is the photos: they’re either way too dark or way too bright. I think it might be the sensor, but I’m not tech-savvy, so I’m not sure. I used to take a few photos on another camera and copied them onto the memory card to check the screen, just to be sure it wasn’t a display problem.

It comes with the original box and instructions, and there’s a small compact flash card included – perfect for testing. Uses four AA batteries (not included).

I’ve kept it mostly in one place for years, and it’s just sitting in a drawer now. I’m not looking to sell it for photos or anything – just passing it on for spare parts or repairs. If you’ve got experience with these or know what’s going on, I’d love to hear what you think.
