2020 Hyundai Kona Electric SUV – 64kWh, Galactic Grey, 279 Miles Range
Description
So I’ve been driving this Hyundai Kona for a few years now, and honestly, it’s been a solid daily driver. It’s a fully electric SUV, no petrol, no emissions—just clean, quiet, and plenty of range. I’ve had it serviced five times, last one at 20k miles, and it’s been kept in great shape. It’s got that 204 horsepower and 395Nm of torque—feels like it’s pulling you wherever you’re going, even on hills. The electric motor gives instant power, which is a real plus when you're merging or going uphill.
I bought it because I wanted something practical with modern tech. The GPS navigation is easy to use, no fumbling around. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both working smoothly, and I’ve got a wireless charging pad—I can just pop my phone on and go.
Inside, it’s pretty spacious. Keyless entry, keyless start, heated windscreen, and rear privacy glass make it feel more like a proper family SUV. The seats are comfy, and there’s a good amount of storage. I use the rear camera a lot—helps when parking, especially in tight spots.
The charging is pretty fast too. With a 7kW charger, it goes from 10% to 80% in about 39 minutes—super useful when you’re on a trip. The max range is 279 miles, which is more than enough for my commute and weekend trips.
It’s finished in Galactic Grey metallic, which isn’t super flashy but still stands out a bit. The tech list is long—lane departure warning, adaptive cruise, automatic headlights, and rain-sensing wipers. All of it works without being too annoying.
I’ve kept it well maintained and it’s been through a full HPI and safety check. RAC-approved, so I know it’s been properly inspected. I’m not selling it for a lot—just wanted to get rid of it and move on. It’s been a great companion over the years.
It’s based in street, Somerset, so if you’re local and looking for something low-maintenance and tech-forward, it might be worth a look.
