The Art of Florence 2 Volume Set Illustrated Original Slipcase Glenn M. Andres
Description
I’ve got this two-volume set on art from Florence — the one with the original slipcase by Glenn M. Andres. It’s heavy, like you’d expect from something this substantial — vol 1 is around 700 pages, vol 2 about 600, full of colour photos and pull-out sections that really bring the scenes to life. The books are in very good condition, with a bit of wear on the slipcase, but the content’s clean and bright. The slipcase has a stunning painting of Fra Angelico’s Last Judgement inside — it’s a real visual highlight. The books have gold-stamped volume numbers and titles on the spines, and there’s a signature inside each one, which I can show you in the photos. The binding is a muted dark blue, with little embossed squares and circles along the edges.
It’s a deep dive into Florence’s artistic history — from 59 BC to around 1600 AD — covering painting, sculpture, architecture, prints, and even plans of buildings. I’ve kept it in a storage box for years, and it’s been sitting in my study at home in Kirk-ella, East Riding of Yorkshire.
It’s about £45 — I’ll collect it from my place, no hassle. Just let me know if you’re interested.
