Victorian mahogany chest of two short and three long drawers
Description
I’ve had this Victorian mahogany chest of drawers for years – it’s a real piece of history, made in the UK during the Victorian era. It’s got two short and three long drawers, all with that classic mahogany finish and wooden handles. It stands about 127cm tall and 125cm wide, so it’s not huge but definitely has that old-world charm. The brown colour and fine detailing really give it that timeless feel. It’s been in my family for a while and I’ve used it in my home for years, so I know it’s solid – no woodworm or mould, still stands up to everyday use. The only thing is, a bit of the veneer has come away at the top and bottom, which I noticed when I was cleaning it up. Doesn’t really affect the structure or function, just a small patch.
I’m moving house soon and it’s just getting a bit of space, so I thought I’d part with it. It’s not fancy, but it’s genuine and has character. It’s from Ilminster, Somerset, and I’m happy to take a quick look or chat if you’re interested. It’s priced at £90, but I’m not selling it because I don’t want to overprice – just thought someone might appreciate it.
