mid-century danish teak writing bureau
Description
This mid-century Danish teak writing bureau is one of those pieces that just feels right when you see it. I picked it up from a local estate sale years ago and it’s been in my home office ever since — still works perfectly for my laptop and daily paperwork. It’s solid teak, so it’s a bit warm to the touch and has that natural grain that you can actually see. The surface is big enough for a laptop or a stack of papers, and the drawers are deep enough to hold supplies without everything spilling out. I don’t know about you, but I’ve found myself reaching for it every time I need to get organised.
It’s not flashy, but it’s not trying to be. It just sits there, quietly doing its job and looking good in any room — whether it’s a tidy modern setup or a more classic space.
It’s 85cm long, 109cm high, and 43cm deep — so it fits nicely in a standard office corner.
I’ve kept it in my home in Keston, Greater London, and it’s actually quite easy to view or collect. I’m based at the Blockley shop — Unit 2, Draycott Business Centre, Dray Road, Morton-in-Marsh, GL569JU — I’m open seven days a week from 10AM to 4PM.
If you’d rather shop online, just search “Junk Skunk” and head to our website — it’s all there, 24/7. No pressure, just a real piece of mid-century design that’s been in my life for a while now.
I’ve had it for a couple of years and it’s still in great shape. It’s currently priced at £175.50 — not much, honestly, for something that’s been built to last.
If you’re curious, just message me or give me a call — I’ll be happy to chat about it.
