Got this little Seabird 700 after years of sailing around the local lochs and rivers – it’s been a real workhorse. It’s a double-skinned foam-filled boat, so feels solid and safe, especially when you're out in the wind. Comes with a 25hp Yamaha outboard that’s been running perfectly for ages. I’ve got a bikini canopy so it’s nice and dry in the sun or rain. There’s a solar panel that charges the battery for an electric outboard, and the petrol engine also tops up the battery – handy when you're not running the engine. Fuel tank’s 35 litres, which is just enough for a decent day out. All the trailer bearings were replaced last year, so it rolls smooth and doesn’t squeak.
