Large Big Green Egg with Modular Nest and Expansion Cabinet
Description
So I’ve been using this Big Green Egg for years — it’s basically my go-to for outdoor cooking, especially when I’ve got a family or friends over. It’s the classic large model, the one that started it all over 50 years ago, and still the one people talk about most. It’s the size that works well for four to six people — big enough for proper meals, not too bulky for smaller spaces. I’ve used it for everything from quick weeknight dinners to fancy get-togethers, and it just works. The thing is, it’s super efficient — heats up fast, cooks evenly, and doesn’t take forever. Plus, it’s got a clean, simple design that just fits in with my garden setup.
I’ve got the full modular setup too — the Modular Nest with tool hooks and a stainless steel wire grid under the EGG, which is great for storing stuff like tongs, knives, or baking trays. And I’ve paired it with the Expansion Cabinet — the one with a distressed acacia worktop, which I’ve used to prep ingredients and keep things dry. The cabinet’s sturdy, and it’s made from sustainably sourced wood, which I like.

It’s originally been part of a showroom clearance — usually sells for over £3,000, but I’ve got it at a much better price. I’m not selling it because I don’t need it anymore, just because I’ve moved to Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset and it’s just easier to part with it than keep it sitting in storage.
If you’re into outdoor cooking and want something that’s reliable, easy to use, and actually makes meals feel special — this one’s been a real workhorse for me. I’ve used it in all sorts of weather, and it still runs smooth.
It’s not the fanciest or the most modern, but it’s proven itself — and it’s still got that classic, solid feel. I’m not looking for a buyer, just someone who’d actually use it and appreciate how it works.
(Price is £2,250 — but I won’t say that in the title, like I told you, just in the description if needed.)
