Trek Marlin 8
Description
So I’ve been riding this Trek Marlin 8 for a few months now and honestly, it’s been a solid companion for both trail days and commutes. It’s crimson red, which I love — the colour’s actually quite striking when you’re out on the road. I’ve only done under 100km mostly on paved paths, so it’s still in great shape.I’ve kept it indoors most of the time, which helps it stay in good condition. There are a couple of little scratches, mostly from normal use — nothing that affects performance. But the build quality is top-notch, and it’s got loads of features that you’d normally only see on more expensive bikes:
- Alpha Silver aluminium frame — light, strong, and built for trail riding
- RockShox Judy Silver Solo Air fork with lockout — smooth ride, easy to adjust for your weight and riding style
- SRAM SX Eagle 1x12 drivetrain — wide gear range, easy shifting, no front derailleur mess
- Hydraulic disc brakes — stops well in rain or dry conditions
- Dropper seatpost — let’s just say, I’ve used it on a few steep descents and it’s been a game-changer
- 29” wheels — stable and fast, gives you confidence on any terrain
- Thru-axle hubs — stiffer, better handling
- Racks and kickstand mounts — so I can carry gear or park it easily
I’ve even added a paint film on the top and bottom of the frame to protect it from stone chips — just a little extra care, really.
I’m selling it to fund a road bike I’ve been eyeing, so I’m open to reasonable offers. It’s been fully ridden, ready to go, and I’ve got a few photos if you want to see it in action. Based in Cirencester, Chesterton — no hassle, just a real bike I’ve used and loved. Message me if you’re interested or have questions!
