I’m selling my 2020 Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI plug-in hybrid – it’s got that sharp, responsive drive you get when you want a bit of excitement without sacrificing practicality. The 1.4-litre engine puts out 245 PS, which means it zips along quickly, especially when you’re not on the highway. It’s got a great balance of performance and efficiency, and I’ve actually used it quite a bit for daily commutes and weekend trips.

Inside, it’s pretty well equipped – DAB radio, sat-nav, climate control, and a 10.25-inch digital dash that’s easy to use. I love the touchscreen interface and the fact that it connects to my phone via app. There’s also a lot of handy little features: parking sensors, cruise control, lane change assist, and even a smart headlight system that adjusts based on the road and your driving.

The alloy wheels (17-inch Richmond style) look good, and the LED matrix headlights are sharp and bright – especially at night. The cabin feels modern and comfortable, with heated seats, heated rear windscreen, and ambient lighting. I’ve also got a 12V socket in the front console and one in the boot – useful if you're ever on a road trip with gear.

It’s got a full range of safety stuff too – ABS, ESC, airbags, electronic parking brake, and even a post-collision braking system. The seats are comfortable, and I’ve adjusted them to suit my driving style.

I bought it new and it’s been well maintained – no major issues, just regular servicing. I’ve driven it regularly over the years, and it’s always been reliable. It’s now sitting in my garage at st-osyth, Tendring, and I’m looking to part ways with it because I’ve found a more practical car for my needs.
