I’ve had this 2005 Nissan Micra for a few years now — it’s been my daily driver for most of that time, and honestly, it’s one of the most reliable little cars I’ve ever owned. It’s a 1.2-litre 16v, manual, three-door hatchback with only 18,904 miles on it, and it’s got that classic gold paint which just looks great in the sun.

It’s not flashy, but it’s practical — great for city driving, easy to park, and doesn’t eat through the fuel like some other cars do. The 79bhp engine gives you enough punch for normal driving, and with a fuel economy of around 47.9 mpg, it’s been a real saving on petrol over the years. I’ve never had to worry about the ULEZ either — it’s fully compliant, so no issues in London or anywhere else with those rules.

The interior’s got the Urban (Sand) trim with a Caffe Latte finish — I think it adds a nice warm, modern touch. The seats are comfortable, and it holds five people comfortably. It’s not a grand car, but it gets the job done — whether I’m commuting or taking a weekend trip.

It’s been three owners since new, and I’ve had it through a few different jobs and moves, so I know it’s been well looked after. It’s had a full MOT recently, which is a real peace of mind.
