1968 MG B GT
Description
I’m selling my 1968 MG B GT – a red coupe that’s been sitting in Whitehaven, Cumberland for a few years now. It’s a proper classic, not flashy but full of character. The body’s in solid shape for its age, paint’s clean and looks great, and the chrome bits – bumpers, grille – are all still in good nick.I’ve had it restored properly, so it starts and runs fine. The engine’s been replaced with a new one, which means it’s reliable now, though it’ll need a proper service before it’s fully road-ready. The wire wheels are original and match the vibe, though the tyres have been standing for years so they’ll need replacing.
Inside, it’s got black leather seats – not flashy, but comfy. There’s also a webasto roof, stainless steel exhaust, and extra fog lights. It’s a historic vehicle, so no road tax or MOT – that’s a big plus if you’re just keeping it in the garage or showing it at events.
It’s not just a car – it’s a piece of driving history. I’ve driven it a few times over the years, and it still feels alive. If you’re into classics or just love the look of something from the 60s, it’s worth a look.
Just need to be trailered to collect – no need to go near the road for a while. It’s not a daily driver, but it’s definitely something you’d want to show off.
Price is £4,500 – fair for what it is, especially with the history and condition.
