Description

This corner whatnot stand is a solid example of late Victorian walnut work — beautifully inlaid and with those lovely turned legs and feet. It’s from around 1880, so it’s got that classic period charm. The finish is a smooth polish, not flashy, just natural and warm. A bit of age-related wear here and there, which honestly just makes it feel more lived-in and real. It’s not perfect, but it’s not trying to be — just a lovely, solid piece. I found it in a family home in Pershore, Wychavon, and decided to part with it after a few years of just not using it much. It's in great shape overall, no damage, just a bit of dust and time. The dimensions are about 147cm tall, 60cm wide, and 39cm deep — quite a presence, especially in a room with a bit of character. It’s not going to be a showpiece, but it’d look really good in a hallway or a sitting area with old wood and warm lighting. I’m keeping it in the UK, so no shipping hassle. If you’ve got a spot for it, I’d love to hear from you.
