Velvet sofa bed – single, 2-in-1 chair and bed

I’ve got this lovely velvet sofa bed – it’s actually a single, so fits perfectly in a small room or bedroom. It’s not just a sofa, though – it folds up into a proper bed at night, which is super handy if you’re ever sharing a flat or just want a flexible seating option.

The fabric is soft velvet, in an orange-umber colour, with some nice piping that makes it look a bit more put-together than a basic sofa. I picked it up from Dunelm as part of a collection, and it’s been discounted a lot – was originally £179, now it’s just £85.50.

It’s a bit chunky when folded up, so it’s not the smallest thing, but it’s compact enough to fit in a modest space. Dimensions: when used as a chair, it’s 83cm wide and 60cm tall; when used as a bed, it stretches to 180cm long. The packaging is about 85cm deep and 136cm wide.

I’ve only used it a couple of times, so it’s still in great shape and hasn’t been messed with much. It’s sitting in my place in broughty-ferry, Queen Street – no need to move it, just give me a quick chat if you’re interested. I’m not selling it for a fancy price, just passing it on.
