So, I’ve had this little Polo for a couple of years now — it’s been my daily driver through most of the winter and some of the summer, and honestly, it’s held up really well. I’ve just decided to part with it, and I’m moving to Hilton, Huntingdonshire, so it’s not going to be around for much longer.

It’s a 2023 1.0 Life with manual transmission, five doors, right-hand drive, and a solid ascot grey paint job with cloth trim — the kind of car that’s practical, quiet, and doesn’t take up much space. The seats are comfortable, the cabin is clean, and it’s got all the basics: Bluetooth, DAB radio, aircon, electric windows, rear window wiper with delay, and a decent bit of tech under the hood — including lane assist, front assist, and a driver alert system.

I’ve kept it well-maintained, so there’s no major issues. The only thing I’ve changed is the rear seat — it’s a 60/40 split, and the back seats can be folded down, which helps when I’m running errands or doing deliveries. There’s also a centre armrest, head restraints, and even a couple of USB-C ports — one in the front and two in the back, which is great for charging phones or tablets.

I’ve also got some of the safety features you’d expect: airbags (front, side, and curtain), ESP, ABS, traction control, hill hold, and even a start-stop system that recovers energy when you brake. The windows are heated and insulated, so it stays relatively cool in summer and warm in winter.

The car has a low rolling resistance setup, and I’ve had it serviced regularly. The odometer is around 20k miles, and it’s been kept in good shape. I don’t drive it every day, but when I do, it’s reliable and easy to handle.

I’m not selling it for a lot — it’s just something I’ve been using for a while and now it’s time to move on. I’ll be moving to Hilton, Huntingdonshire, and I’m just passing it on. If you’re looking for a reliable, no-frills hatchback that doesn’t cost a fortune to maintain, this might be something you’d actually enjoy.
