I’m parting with my 2015 VW Transporter T5 60th Anniversary Sportline — a special edition made to celebrate 60 years of the van in the UK. It’s got that bold exterior styling, a 2.0-litre BiTDI engine with 180 PS, and a Kenwood sat-nav in the cabin. The seven-speed DSG gearbox makes it feel smooth and responsive, especially for the kind of loads I’ve been carrying around.It’s been well maintained over the years, with a solid service record, and I’ve always taken care of it — still runs like a dream. There’s a small dent on the sliding door, but it’s not bad and I’ve been quoted £500 to fix it — not a big deal.
I’ve lived in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, and it’s been a real home for this van. It’s not just a vehicle — it’s been a reliable workhorse and a bit of a companion over the years.
I’ve been thinking about selling it because I’m moving on and don’t need it anymore. It’s a bit of a sad goodbye, but I’m happy to find a new home for it. No VAT, and it’s been a real pleasure to own.
