Got this old oak sideboard from my parents' house in Kirkby-Stephen, Westmorland and Furness. It’s solid oak, original colour – a bit sun-bleached on the edges, but still sturdy. The wood’s got a nice grain, and I’ve been thinking about giving it a fresh coat of paint or a simple finish. It’s not perfect, but it’s solid and would work well as a farmhouse-style piece or just as a storage unit. Measured: 1900mm high, 1220mm wide, 450mm deep. I’m keeping it in the house for now, but if you're interested, I can share photos or give you a quick look. It’s not fancy, but it’s got character.
