Ford Transit Connect SWB, 2014, Manual, 1560cc Camper Van

Description

Got this old Ford Transit Connect SWB a while back — it’s been my go-to for camping and road trips over the last few years. It’s a solid 168k mile van, last MOT was six months ago, and I’ve had it serviced regularly with all receipts kept. The timing belt, water pump, and near-clutch/gearbox were all reconditioned back in August 2022 — still runs smooth, no issues at all.

I’ve done a fair bit of camper upgrades — sound deadening, insulation, electric setup to handle a 500W heater, microwave, kettle, and more. The 12v 280ah battery’s been running on a 200W solar panel, 240V/12V charger, and a 30A DC-DC charger with a 2500W inverter. It switches automatically from hook-up to inverter, so I’m never left without power.

Inside: modified IKEA bed with a custom memory foam mattress — like new. Dimmable spotlights, storage shelf above the driver’s seats, kitchen side, deadlocks on all doors (side and rear). Front seats are Mercedes ones — electric adjuster and heater still work. Roof rack and wind deflectors keep airflow in at night.

It’s a crash-repaired van — replaced both rear doors. Paint wasn’t great when I bought it, but I’ve kept it well maintained. The front bumper has a lacquer layer, rear bumper has a small ding — not much, still looks mostly black and solid.

I’ve done 2k miles since the last MOT — no problems at all. I’ve camped at places down to -8°C and kept it warm all the way. No fridge or appliances in the photos — that’s not included.
