Description

So, I’ve been keeping this 1995 Honda GL1500 Goldwing 20th Anniversary in the shed for the last 20 years — not because I needed it, but because a good friend of mine who’s been riding it for years just upgraded to a BSA Gold Star. Now it’s time for it to find a new home.

It’s got just under 29,000 miles on it, and I’ve been on the ground with it through every service — including a full overhaul in 2024. That one had a new battery, timing belts (yes, they were replaced — no more squeaky belts!), oil, filter, spark plugs, and coolant. The MOT runs until July 2026, so there’s plenty of riding left in this one.

It’s not perfect — you’ll see the usual signs of a 30-year-old bike, like a few dents and a bit of wear — but it’s been treated like a proper machine, and it still runs smooth as silk. The engine’s quiet at idle, and when you give it some throttle? It’s like a Lamborghini. Honestly, it’s one of those bikes that just feels right in your hands.

I’m not selling it because I want to — I’m just letting it go. It’s been a good ride, and now it’s time for someone else to take it for a spin. If you’re near Hillsborough, Penistone Road North, you can just pop by. Otherwise, I can arrange delivery — it’s not expensive, just a bit of effort on the courier side.

I’ve been in the bike world for a long time, mostly working with second-hand bikes, and I’ve seen a lot of them. This one’s one of the more solid ones — it’s not flashy, but it does what it’s supposed to, and it’s got a real soul.

If you’re interested, just drop me a message. No pressure, no sales pitch — just a real talk about what you’re looking for.

And yeah, the price is £4,045.50 — I know, that’s not what you’d expect from a 30-year-old bike, but I’ve kept it in good shape, and it’s been loved.

Let me know if you’re in the area or if you’d like to take a look. I’ll be honest — I’d actually be happy to see it on someone else’s road.

— A fellow rider who’s been through the wringer, and still believes in good bikes.
