Description

This MG HS Trophy arrived at Ford Bedlington last week – just off the road, low mileage, and still in crisp white. I bought it new from Ford, and it’s been sitting quietly in the showroom since, so it’s not been driven much.

The 1.5 T-GDI engine is sharp and smooth – not too loud, not too aggressive – just what you want for daily drives or weekend trips. It’s got all the premium bits you’d expect: leather seats, heated front seats, a big 10.1-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, sat-nav, and a clean digital driver display. The panoramic sunroof gives a real open feel inside – perfect for sunny days.

I’ve used it a bit for short trips around the Northumberland area, and the boot’s plenty big for kids’ stuff or weekend gear. The parking sensors and reversing camera make it easy to park, especially in tight spots. Safety features are solid too – lane keep assist, adaptive cruise, traffic jam assist, blind spot detection, and all the usual airbags.

I’m keeping it for now, but if you’re looking for a no-nonsense, well-equipped hatchback with real driving feel and a decent bit of modern tech, this one’s a solid pick. It’s a bit of a niche model, but the Trophy trim really adds value.

It’s currently at Ford Bedlington – I can sort a quick view or test drive if you’re interested. No major damage, just a few light scratches from storage, nothing that affects use.

Price is £14,400 – not a bargain, but it’s a solid car with good value for what it offers. I’ve got a few photos and details ready if you want to take a closer look.

Honestly, it’s one of those cars that feels more like a proper daily driver than a flashy showpiece – and that’s why I’m thinking about parting with it.
