Just letting you know I’ve got this electric bike sitting in my garage in Millom, Cumberland. It’s a La Pierre E Explorer — 26 inch wheels, low step, 50cm frame, in red. Bought new back in November 2023, and honestly, I haven’t done more than about 50 miles — so it’s still in great shape.

It’s got a Bosch pedal axle drive — no motor in the wheels, just smooth pedal assist. The battery’s 36v 11Ah (400Wh), removable, and comes with the 42v 6A charger. All the lights are integrated — front lamp above the wheel, rear lamp on the rack, plus a front flashing light on the handlebars and a rear red flash on the storage bag.

Front and rear disc brakes, hydraulic system, and the handlebar can be adjusted. Only has electric assist — no shifting, just up/down gear paddles. Five modes: OFF, ECO, TOUR, SPORT, TURBO — all controlled via the LCD screen. The lights sync with the mode selection too.

I’ve added a racktime storage bag that clips on, with a lock and cable for extra security. Comes with the original manual, some spanners, and allen keys. There’s also a foldable Abus lock on the frame and a chain lock in the storage bag. And yes — a spare saddle and allen key for battery access.

It’s been a real joy to ride — way more comfortable than I expected, and honestly, you’d probably pay twice as much for a new one.

If £75 or so feels steep, I can take a £50 deposit to secure it — and once you send me the balance, it’s yours. I’m not going anywhere — just staying put in Millom, so it’s easy to arrange a meet-up.
