Description

So, I’ve got this little Mini Cooper RC car from way back when – it was a fun little gadget when I was younger. It’s not working now, but I still remember how much I loved it back then.

The controller is grey with a transparent plastic body – has left/right and forward/reverse buttons. The black box is the charger, which charges a capacitor inside the car. The car itself doesn’t have batteries, and I think the capacitor is dead – that’s why it won’t power up. But here’s the thing: when I leave it on the charger, I can see the front wheels twitch a bit, so the connection between car and controller seems to be alive.

No batteries included – both the controller and charger need 3 AAA batteries (not in the package). I’m not throwing it away, just not sure if it’s worth fixing or not. It’s a bit of a project for someone who’s into electronics or just wants to tinker with old gear.

It’s sitting in my garage in Holywell, Flintshire. If you’re interested, just let me know when you’d like to come pick it up. I’m not pushing it, just sharing something I’ve kept around. Also, if you like, you can check out my other things by clicking on my name.

P.S. It’s not a toy anymore, more of a nostalgic piece – so if you’re into that kind of thing, maybe it’ll spark some fun for you.
