Honestly, this little Skoda Citigo from 2012 has been a real joy to drive — compact, reliable, and just about perfect for getting around town. I’ve had it for a few years now and it’s seen only one owner, which means it’s been kept in good shape and hasn’t had any major issues.

It’s a five-door hatchback with a 1.0-litre petrol engine — not flashy, but smooth and responsive. The 60bhp gets you up to 60mph in about 13.7 seconds, and the top speed is 100mph, so it’s not slow for a small car. I’ve never had a problem with it on the motorway, even when traffic gets heavy. Fuel consumption is a solid 68.9mpg — that means I can do longer trips without stressing about running out of fuel.

It’s ULEZ compliant, so no worries about being banned in cities. The body’s in Candy White, which looks great and keeps the interior cooler in summer. I’ve kept it clean and it’s easy to maintain. The spare wheel is steel — just in case of a flat, which I’ve never needed, but it’s a small peace of mind.

It’s front-wheel drive with a manual gearbox, which makes it easy to park and handle in tight spaces. Road tax is £20 a year and it’s in insurance group 01 — so insurance is a no-brainer.

I’ve had it for a while now and it’s still running well, even after 64,715 miles. I just thought someone else might find it useful — it’s not flashy, but it’s reliable and practical.
