Mongoose R50 20" BMX Black Red

Got this Mongoose R50 20" BMX in black and red — it’s been sitting in my garage for a few years now, and I’ve been thinking about getting rid of it. I’m not a pro or anything, just someone who’s always been into bikes and loved the way this one handled.

It’s got standard 20-inch wheels, so ideal for beginners — the recommended height range is 4'10" to 6'4", which fits most people who’ve just started out. I’ve used it for freestyle tricks at local parks and it’s been pretty solid. The micro-gearing (25x9T cassette hub) is the same kind that pros use, which makes it feel a bit more responsive.

Mongoose started in a garage in SoCal back in '74 — honestly, the brand just has a solid reputation in the BMX world. I’ve seen pros ride these, and it’s clear why they’re still popular.

I’ve taken loads of pics, so you can see it in action — the frame’s solid, the wheels are in good shape, and it’s all fully assembled. I’m moving to burntisland, Fife, and it’s just easier to keep it where I am now.
