2016 Kia Sportage 1.6 GDi 2 SUV 5dr Petrol Manual Euro 6
Description
So, I’ve been driving this 2016 Kia Sportage for a few years now and honestly, it’s been pretty reliable. It’s Arctic White with that original factory trim — cost me £250 back then — and the black premium cloth interior feels solid, especially for a family car. The seats are comfortable, the steering wheel’s leather trim is nice, and the gear shift is smooth, even in manual mode. It’s got 17-inch alloy wheels, black side sill and wheel arch trim, and those chrome beltline mouldings give it a bit of a polished look. The lights are LED day running lights and front fog lights with high beam assist, which helps when it’s dark or wet.
Inside, there’s a 7-inch touchscreen with sat-nav, DAB radio, Bluetooth, and voice control — I use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto all the time. The cabin is pretty tech-heavy for its time, and the dual climate control works well. I’ve got reversing camera, rear sensors, cruise control with speed limiter, and rain-sensing wipers — useful stuff.
Safety features are solid: lane keep assist, tyre pressure monitoring, ABS with EBD, and ESC with downhill brake control. There’s also a privacy glass on the back, which I appreciate when I’m on the go.
I’ve driven it over 100,000 miles, and it’s held up well. The 1.6 GDi engine is a bit of a workhorse, but it’s not flashy — just solid. The boot space is decent, and the second row folds down easily.
It’s currently in Dundee City, so if you’re local and thinking about a practical, no-nonsense SUV with good tech and decent safety, this one’s been a real workhorse for me. I’m not selling it to a big dealership — I’m just passing it on.
It’s worth noting it’s been through a proper check and has a clean history. The price is £7,739.10 — not a lot, honestly, for what it is. I’m not looking for a quick sale, just someone who’ll take it and use it.
If you’re interested, I’m happy to show it around or talk through the details. No pressure, just a real car, real use, real value.
