These side cabinets are the kind of thing I’ve had in my old house for years – always in the corner, never really used much, but always looked good. They’re solid wood, heavy build, and have that classic Oriental-style carving – floral patterns on the drawers and doors, which I actually love. Each one has one upper drawer and two lower cupboard doors, so they’ve got good storage space without being cluttered. The glass tops are a nice touch – easy to clean, and they protect the wood well.

They’re not perfect – there are a few light surface marks, like age or a few scratches, which you’d expect from something that’s been around for decades. The glass is still solid, no cracks. I’ve kept them in a dry, stable spot and haven’t moved them much. They’re not in the kitchen or bathroom, just sitting in a spare room, mostly out of sight.

I’m moving to Brecon, Powys, and I’ve decided to part with them – they’ve been a quiet part of my home for a while now. They’d work well in a living room or even a small office.
