2022 Toyota Yaris Cross 1.5 Hybrid AWD Estate
Description
So, I’ve been keeping this car for a bit now — a 2022 Toyota Yaris Cross 1.5 Hybrid AWD estate in Galactic Blue Bi-Tone. It’s actually from Peterlee, County Durham, and I’m just letting it go because I’ve been on the move.I bought it new through Vertu Motors, which is a solid name — they’ve got a long history in the UK motor trade, from Birmingham all the way through to Scotland. The car’s been through three full Toyota service checks at an approved dealer, so it’s been properly looked after. No major issues, just regular maintenance, which means it runs smooth and feels reliable.
The hybrid setup is pretty clever — 1.5-litre petrol paired with a self-charging system. It’s got 116 horsepower and does a really good job on fuel economy, especially for a crossover. I’ve noticed it’s a lot quieter on the road and doesn’t get as thirsty as most SUVs. Plus, the CO2 emissions are low — which I appreciate, especially with how much I drive around town and on the weekends.
Safety features are solid too. Things like Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, Adaptive Cruise, and Road Sign Assist are all standard. I’ve actually used the lane keep assist and rear camera a few times — helpful when parking or driving on the motorway. The keyless entry and push-button start are a nice touch, and the Bluetooth, DAB radio, and Apple/Android Auto make it easy to connect to my phone.
Inside, it’s roomy for a compact SUV. The seats are comfy, and there’s decent headroom. I’ve used it for both daily commutes and weekend trips — it’s a bit of a joy to drive, especially with the quiet ride and good handling.
I’m not selling it for a lot — it’s actually £19,877.40 — but I’ve been thinking about getting into something else. It’s a great car, though, and I’m just passing it on. If you’re into hybrids with a good balance of style, fuel economy, and tech, this might be worth a look.
No big changes to the car — just a few minor things I’ve fixed over time. It’s clean, well-maintained, and still feels like it’s in great shape.
If you’re in the area, feel free to pop by or message me — I’ll be honest, I just wanted to get it out of my garage and into someone else’s hands.
