Cast Iron Bistro Chairs and Table Set

Got this vintage garden furniture set tucked away for years, and finally decided to part with it. It’s a real standout – the table has a solid iron base and a thick glass top that’s frost and shatter-proof. The glass is actually a bit thick, so it’s not going to crack under normal garden use. I love that it’s split into two half-moon sections, so you can easily rearrange it or use it for different setups – perfect for a patio or garden nook.

The chairs are heavy cast iron bases with a sturdy aluminium back. They’re in a classic Victorian style, and there’s a bit of surface rust – not much, and it’s easy to sand down and repaint if you want to give them a fresh look. The chairs are 32.5 inches high, 16 inches wide, and 14 inches deep at the seat. The table halves are 2ft long by 30 inches wide and 29.5 inches high.

It’s been sitting in my garden in Bathgate, West Lothian for a while now, and I’ve used it plenty – it’s been through the seasons, and it’s still holding up well. It’s not fancy, but it’s solid and adds real character to any outdoor space. I’m not looking to sell it for much, just getting it out of the way.
