I’ve been playing this Gibson 70s Explorer for a few years now, and honestly, it’s one of the most fun guitars I’ve ever had. It’s not just a guitar — it’s a piece of rock history, right down to the way it looks and sounds.

This one’s in mint condition, straight out of the box with the original hard case and all the paperwork still inside. I had it professionally set up and it’s now strung with brand-new strings — no need to break a sweat when you get it. It’s ready to go from day one.

The body’s solid mahogany, the neck’s mahogany with a slim taper, and the fingerboard is bound rosewood — smooth, comfortable, and easy to play. It’s a 24.75" scale, which means it’s got that classic Explorer feel, and the Graph Tech nut is just right.

The pickups are 70s Tribute humbuckers, hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors — gives that vintage punch and clarity you get when you want to cut through the mix. I’ve played it everything from crunchy rock to clean leads, and it just holds its own.

It’s got a Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge with an aluminum stop bar, chrome hardware and black speed knobs — looks sharp, plays smooth. It weighs in at 3.4kg, which is about right for a guitar this size.

I bought it a few years ago when it was still new, and I’ve never looked back. It’s been on the road a bit — not in a band, but I’ve played it at local gigs and even tried it with a few friends who’ve started learning.
