I’m selling my 2024 Land Rover Velar 2.0 D200 MHEV Dynamic HSE – it’s a solid, well-maintained SUV with a clean record and low miles. It’s Santorini Black, which really stands out, and the paint is shiny and well-kept. The diesel engine – 2.0-litre turbo mild-hybrid – gives it plenty of punch: around 204 bhp and 317 lb-ft of torque, so it zips from 0 to 60 in about 7.8 seconds and can hit 130 mph. On the combined cycle, it gets about 41.6 mpg, which is pretty good for a premium SUV.

Inside, it’s got that premium feel – 20-way adjustable leather seats with memory settings, ambient lighting, and a smooth, intuitive touchscreen infotainment system. The sliding panoramic roof lets in loads of light and makes the cabin feel much bigger. I love how the electronic air suspension works – it adapts whether you’re on the motorway or on a bumpy country road.

It’s packed with tech and safety features: cruise control, parking sensors, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise, stop/start, heated seats, DAB radio, Apple and Android Auto, rear camera, keyless entry, electric windows, heated rear window, and even a rear wash/wipe with heated jets. The seats are heated, the windscreen has rain sensors, and everything’s well protected with anti-trap features.

I’ve had it for a few years and it’s been well looked after – no major damage, just regular servicing. It’s not a flashy show car, but it’s reliable, comfortable, and handles well. I bought it new through Vertu Motors, which is a big chain with lots of dealerships across the UK – they’re known for good service and solid vehicles.

I’ve moved to Stenhousemuir in Falkirk, so it’s going to be in my local area. It’s a bit of a long-term ownership, and I’ve been thinking about selling it to someone who’ll use it properly and keep it well.
