Modified Elops 120E Electric Commuter Bike – Black, Steel Frame, No Battery
Description
So, I’ve got this Elops 120E e-bike from Decathlon—bought new back in September 2022—and I’m finally letting it go. I’ve lived in Okehampton, West Devon for a few years now, and after a few years of using it for daily commutes and short trips around town, I’ve decided it’s time to swap it for something more suited to my new routine. It’s a solid steel-framed commuter bike, medium size (roughly 52–56cm, fits riders about 5’6” to 6’0”), and the colour is sleek black—nothing flashy, just practical. The wheels are 700c aluminum with city tires that’ve held up well over time, puncture-resistant and still got decent tread.
The motor’s a rear hub drive—250W, 35Nm torque—smooth and quiet, handles hills and starts just fine. Brakes were upgraded after a minor accident—replaced with proper disc brakes, and it rides like new now. Gears are a 6-speed Shimano/Microshift setup, easy to shift when you’re riding on varied terrain.
I’ve done a few custom tweaks: added a larger battery socket (so you can fit a bigger pack than the original), extra screen for switching between assist modes, and auto walk mode—super handy when you’re pushing it. If you’re into tinkering, this is a great spot to start.
No battery included—original one was removable, but you can pick up a new one easily online for £200–£300. I’d be happy to ship a brand-new compatible battery to you at cost if you ask.
No extras with it—no kickstand, no charger (you don’t need one without a battery), and the built-in lights aren’t working (simple fix or just use clip-ons). New pedals were fitted recently.
It’s in good shape overall—frame’s solid, no major dents. A bit muddy from city use (I’ll clean it properly before handing it over), and yes, it did have a small accident (brakes were damaged, but fully replaced—no other damage). No odometer, but low mileage since it’s been a second bike.
It’s light at around 25.9kg—easy to carry or push. No suspension, but that’s fine for daily commuting. I’ve kept it well-maintained and regularly serviced, so it’s road-ready and UK-compliant (EAPC rules: 250W, pedal assist up to 25 km/h).
I’m not selling it for a big profit—I’ve outgrown it and need to fund a new bike. It’s been a reliable workhorse, and I’ve got a few photos ready if you want to see it. I can meet up in Okehampton if you’d like to see it in person.
Cash or bank transfer is what I prefer. No receipt, no warranty—just a honest, ready-to-ride bike. I’ll keep it to £198 if you’re serious.
